New Day Fraud Reporting Platform
Modernised New Day's fraud reporting platform with React and GitHub Actions, reducing build times by 20 minutes while improving PCI compliance and developer experience.
Project Overview
As a Senior Full-stack Engineer at New Day, I delivered major performance improvements and supported PCI compliance by migrating critical Azure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines from TeamCity to GitHub Actions, reducing build times by 20 minutes.
The Challenge
The organisation needed to modernise its cloud architecture and CI/CD processes to improve performance, maintain PCI compliance, and support rapid development. Additionally, a complex, data-driven fraud reporting application required a robust migration to modern React patterns.
The Solution
I led the migration of Azure architecture and CI/CD pipelines, implementing GitHub Actions for faster, more reliable builds. I also developed a highly efficient solution for migrating the fraud reporting app using Context API and React Hook Form. Alongside technical delivery, I mentored graduate engineers, supporting their professional growth and competency.
Results & Impact
Reduced build duration by 20 minutes, improved PCI compliance, and delivered a more maintainable, performant fraud reporting platform. Contributed to the growth of the engineering team through mentorship and support.
